Joe Pierce began his practice in 1975 to help his patients, on a personal one-on-one basis, improve their quality of life. Since that time he has always put the needs of his patients first. His goal is to use his expert physical therapy skills to reach or exceed the expectations of his patient and their referring physician in an effective and timely manner. He returns his patients to their pre-injury level of function or better through hands on treatment, rehabilitation, mobilization, and exercise. With education, he provides his patients with the knowledge needed to prevent reoccurrence. His vast experience over the last 43 years, in multiple settings, affords him the knowledge to care for a wide spectrum of patients in need of physical therapy. This experience spans office, hospital, sports-related, work-related, military and home health areas.

For over 30 years he provided physical therapy for the United States Coast Guard at ATC Mobile, treating both active duty and dependents from all branches of the military.

Joe Pierce established physical therapy departments at four local hospitals and introduced the concept of physical therapy to home health in Mobile and the surrounding areas.

His vast experience in sports physical therapy has spanned the treatment of sports-related injuries from local elementary school to semi-pro athletes. He has provided care for athletes of the Senior Bowl, Mobile Generals, and most local high schools.

He has volunteered his expertise in physical therapy by serving as the team physical therapist for McGill-Toolen for over 25 years.  He has also provided sideline coverage for several other local high school football programs, totaling more than 400 games in the Mobile-Baldwin area.
